Raising Leaders Of Tomorrow

Rayito de Sol Schools

Rayito de Sol Spanish Immersion Early Learning Centers is a nationally recognized early childhood education organization serving children from 6 weeks to 6 years of age through a full time Spanish language immersion model implemented during the most critical years of cognitive, linguistic, and socio-emotional development.

The program is distinguished by a highly intentional, research based Spanish immersion and Intercultural curriculum, in which all instruction, interaction, and communication take place exclusively in Spanish. This immersive approach advances language acquisition while intentionally cultivating cultural awareness, identity development, confidence, and global competence from the earliest stages of learning.

Luisa Fuentes, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Rayito de Sol Spanish Immersion Early Learning Centers, established the organization with a clear and enduring vision: to position language, culture, diversity, and inclusion as foundational pillars of early education, ensuring that children develop not only academic readiness, but also a strong sense of identity and belonging essential for lifelong success.

Under her leadership, Rayito de Sol has emerged as a model of excellence at the intersection of educational innovation, cultural leadership, and business sustainability.

For more than a decade, Rayito de Sol has consistently received regional and national recognition for excellence in organizational leadership, educational quality, and community impact. This sustained trajectory culminated in Luisa Fuentes’ induction into the NAWBO Women Business Owners Hall of Fame (2025), a distinction recognizing her enduring legacy as a woman entrepreneur and national leader in bilingual early childhood education.

In recognition of its organizational strength and community impact, Rayito de Sol was named Latino Business of the Year (2023), honoring its contributions to entrepreneurship, educational innovation, and cultural advancement.

Additional honors reflecting the organization’s long-term impact, governance excellence, and mission-driven leadership include:

LIFE-CHANGING PROJECT

Life Changing Project is a groundbreaking collaboration between Rayito de Sol Spanish Immersion Early Learning Centers and the community of Chincheros in Cusco, Peru. This pilot project aims to revolutionize education in Latin America by providing exceptional multilingual education in Spanish, English, and the native language.

In addition to education, our collective mission extends to tackling childhood anemia, which affects over 43% of children in Peru. Childhood anemia has severe consequences on physical and cognitive development, limiting life opportunities and hindering the ability to reach one’s highest potential.
