Máximo Laura is a distinguished Peruvian tapestry artist whose work has captivated art enthusiasts worldwide. Born in Ayacucho, Peru, Laura displayed an early fascination with textile art. He pursued his passion by studying at the School of Fine Arts in Lima, where he honed his skills in weaving and developed a unique style that blends traditional Peruvian textile techniques with contemporary artistic expression.
Amor de Marinera is a premium musical theater production an emotionally powerful and technically sophisticated experience that elevates Latin American stage art to an international standard. With a soul stirring script, cutting edge technology, and the precise synchronicity of 21 champions of Marinera Norteña (Peruvian national dance) alongside eight exceptional musicians, the production transcends performance to become an immersive cultural statement.
Through refined use of lighting, LED screens, projection mapping, and advanced audiovisual design, Amor de Marinera celebrates the elegance, strength, and depth of Peruvian Latino identity, leaving a lasting impression on audiences.
The production is led by a luxury level creative team from South America’s musical theater elite: Hugo Romero, General Director and first historical Laureado of Marinera Norteña; Luisa Fuentes, Executive Producer, Peruvian entrepreneur based in the U.S., Founder and CEO of Rayito de Sol, cultural ambassador, and Marinera champion; Lorena Beryon, General Producer and international performing arts executive; and Juan Carlos Ruiz, General Producer and Audiovisual Director, a Marinera champion and visual-arts innovator with experience across Peru and the U.S.
Together, they position Amor de Marinera as a bold expression of Latino cultural excellence created with the vision and ambition to reach Broadway.
Marino Martinez holds a degree in Artistic Education and has completed master’s studies in Anthropology at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. Additionally, they are a musician and teacher graduated from the José María Arguedas National Higher School of Folklore.
